CLE Consulting: History
Founded in 2013, CLE Consulting was established by Charles Elliott of Verona. Prior to starting CLE Consulting, Elliott had been in the construction industry for more than 50 years, first starting as a carpenter and working his way up to President of the Wisconsin Builders Association. For 18 months, Elliott and Dawn McIntosh worked hand-in-hand designing and building residential and commercial projects together, with a special focus on affordable housing and providing top-notch customer service. As of December 2019, Elliott officially retired and passed the torch to McIntosh.
Dawn McIntosh
Dawn McIntosh, who has 36 years of industry experience, is no stranger to the construction industry. She is a certified state builder and holds a certification in aging in place. During her career she worked in interior design, building material sales, and management. She has held leadership positions for several associations and non-profits including serving on the board of directors for Habitat for Humanity of Dane County, Madison Area Builders Association and Wisconsin Builder’s Association.
In 2016, Dawn McIntosh founded the Women in the Construction Industry group in Dane County, which has grown to more than 200 members. “The construction industry is really booming and there is so much opportunity for women to join the skilled trades, especially here in Dane County,” McIntosh said, “I created this group so women in the industry had access to high-quality opportunities to network and learn from each other.”
Meet The Team
Mylinda Heil - Project Manager Assistant
Mylinda grew up on the north side of Chicago, then moved to Iowa before making her way to Wisconsin, where she has been for the past 15 years. She is always eager to learn and try new things, spending time as a tutor, recreation leader, bus driver, life guard, swim official, and assistant stylist, in addition to pursuing a career as a chemical engineer with an MBA. Mylinda has always loved real estate, land development, and building things, and spent many years working in manufacturing on projects and as a manager. With CLE, she enjoys working in these areas with a variety of people and learn new things every day. Mylinda spends her free time with family, often in and around swimming pools and softball diamonds.
Liz Slager - Administrative Assistant
Elizabeth was born and raised in Southern Michigan and moved to the Madison area 17 years ago from Ann Arbor, MI. She and her husband,James, have four school-aged children and live in Verona.
Liz’s educational background is in History and Business Administration and she has previous experience working as an Administrative Assistant. Though she’s spent the past several years prior to joining the CLE team working for herself as a day-care provider, she would consider her primary occupation a personal, unpaid/untipped Uber driver for her kids!!
Michelle Dunn, CPA, Controller
Michelle has worked in accounting for over 30 years, with lots of experience in the construction and real estate industries. She has several small businesses as clients whom she supports with financial services, but CLE Consulting is one of her favorites! Her expertise is in producing financial statements that help small businesses be more successful. Michelle lives in Madison, and loves cocktails, hiking, skiing, and kayaking - probably in that order! She travels with her dog, Max, a Border Doodle.
